Known as the Gateway to the 1000 islands, Gananoque [Gan-a-nock-wee] is a Haudenosaunee word meaning town on two rivers, meadow rising out of water or water flowing over rocks. Gananoque is rich in history and culture, with unique heritage buildings and architecture, and unsurpassed landscapes and natural assets.
