By Road

Gananoque is about 3 hours from Toronto, 2 hours from Ottawa and about 3 hours form Montreal. We are just 15 minutes from the border crossing into Upper New York State. The town is accessible from Highway 2 along the St. Lawrence River or from Highway 401. From the 401 westbound, take exit 645 or 648. Travelling eastbound exit at 645 or 647.

By Train

Via Rail stops in Gananoque twice a day - once going west bound at 2:18pm and the other east bound at 9:40pm. Via Rail has a number of other scheduled stops at Kingston (only 20 minutes from Gananoque).

By Water

Canada welcomes Americans arriving by boat as we always have - but there are different requirements to enter or return to the U.S.A. Check on requirements before you go. Two programs allow boats to enter U.S. waters and land on shore, if they have either of these documents with them: NEXUS and I-68 forms. Without it, boaters are not allowed to land or contact anyone without physically reporting to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection office. Boaters should know that law enforcement agents are allowed to search any vessel for any reason near the invisible water border between Canada and the U.S.A.
